We run all our surgeries by an appointment only system. There are some routine appointments available but the majority of our appointments are available to book on the day. We try to make sure you see the doctor of your choice but if they are not available we may ask you to see another doctor.
If you are too ill to come to the surgery and you require a visit at home, please call the surgery before 10am. Home visits take up much more of a doctor’s time than a consultation in the surgery, so if you are mobile please come into the surgery to be seen. Home visits will only be done on the basis of medical need.
Extended hours appointments
As well as being able to visit your practice, now you can also book into evening and weekend consultations at new hub clinics being provided. The extra appointments are being provided by local GP federations, which are made up of local GP practices,
As these appointments are provided by local GPs, with your consent, the GP will even be able to access your medical record, giving them access to all the information they need to provide the best possible care, even if your appointment is at a different location.
